Figures below are the published 2026 floors we work to. Destination authorities change them without warning. We re-check the official page the week we open your file, and we will not lodge against a stale number.
Spain remains the programme UK contractors ask for first: a three-year card, family riders, and a possible Beckham-Law tax overlay for employees. Freelance applicants need a tighter paper trail — we build that pack, we do not guess it.
The D8 is the remote-work residence visa; the older D7 is for passive income and we will not file a D7 for a contractor. The floor tracks four times the Portuguese minimum wage and currently sits at €3,680 a month plus roughly €11,000 in savings. NHR is closed to new applicants; IFICI (the 20% successor) is narrow and we say so in the first note.
The DTV is a five-year multiple-entry visa with 180 days per stay, extendable once per entry. The test is savings — 500,000 THB held with a clean trail — not a monthly salary. UK applicants now file through the mission of nationality or residence, with an ACRO certificate. We prepare the bank evidence so it does not look like parked money.
Dubai and the federal virtual-work visa sit at a published USD 3,500 monthly floor, with industry reports of USD 5,000 in 2026. We file to the number on the official page the week we lodge, and we will not pad a salary letter. Health insurance wording is the usual refusal point; we draft it to the GDRFA list.
Europe’s first dedicated nomad visa, still the strictest income test in the region at €4,500 net a month. Twelve months, no family rider in the same instrument. Useful for tech contractors who already invoice through an EU company; we often pair it with e-Residency paperwork we do not ourselves issue.
Lodge: Estonian Embassy, London · Stay: 12 months
Up to 18 months, no renewal in-country; you must leave for six months before a new application. Foreign income is not taxed locally for the permit period. The floor is €3,622.50 a month. We assemble the Croatian-language forms and the police-check apostille.
Lodge: Croatian Embassy, London · Stay: 18 months
€3,500 net a month, consular filing only. One year, then a two-year renewable permit. The 5C tax relief is not available on nomad status; we put that in writing before you pay a filing fee. Translations into Greek are done by a sworn translator we already use.
Lodge: Greek Consulate, London · Stay: 1 + 2 years
USD 3,000 a month, USD 5,000 with family, plus USD 50,000 medical cover. One year plus a one-year renewal. Foreign income is exempt. The apostille chain from the UK is slow; we start it in week one so the file is not sitting in San José waiting on Birmingham paper.
Lodge: Costa Rican Embassy, London · Stay: 1 + 1 year
A twelve-month remote-work stamp at USD 2,000 for the applicant (USD 3,000 with family). Income evidence is lighter than the European programmes, but the health-insurance wording and the police certificate still fail files. We treat it with the same pack discipline as a D8.
